Camp Summit is a one-of-a-kind camp for individuals with disabilities where the emphasis is on the campers Abilities rather than their disAbilities. Traditional camp activities are modified to each individual and are provided in our fully adapted facilities and implemented by trained, caring staff. Our campers are grouped by age and disability, providing the opportunity to make friends within peer groups while having fun and trying new adventures.
In addition, they are able to connect socially with others in an environment of complete acceptance. At each camp session, campers participate in activities that most campers enjoy every day, such as horseback riding, swimming, arts & crafts, nature studies, kaleidoscope, ropes challenge course and sports & games. All senses are engaged during their week at camp. Whether it is smelling the pond while fishing, feeling the texture of the horse and saddle while riding, or hearing the crackle of the fire while hanging out by the campfire with new friends, our campers gain the experience of being outdoors and a feeling of belonging. Because we offer a 2 to 1 ratio of campers to counselor and provide all medical care for campers during their stay, our families and caregivers can be assured the health and safety of their loved one is our top priority.
Camp Summit is located in Argyle, Texas, just north of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex on 117 acres of land. We are accredited by the American Camp Association and licensed as a Youth Camp in the State of Texas.

Agencies and organizations can book special programs year-round through our A.C.O.R.N. (Agency Cooperative Outdoor Recreational Network) program.
