Volunteer Opportunities

This person must have a strong desire to work with campers of all ages with mild to severe disabilities. A Camp Summit counselor not only assists with participation in typical camp activities, but also assists the campers with their daily living skills.

Activity Leader - This person must be assertive, creative and have motivational skills. Activity leaders are needed to lead arts & crafts, nature studies, performing arts, recreational sports, ropes challenge course, swimming and horseback riding.

Special activities are always a part of each camp session. Individuals are welcome to share their special skills and/or talents with our camper audience. Favorite special performances include clowns, mascots, Elvis, DJs, dancer, and magicians. Any performer or group is welcome that will bring joy to the campers.

There are also many behind-the-scene opportunities available at camp and in the Dallas office that ensure Camp Summit campers will have a great recreational experience. You can also volunteer in the office, at special events, and at the campgrounds for group work projects.

Ages 12-14 may volunteer with an adult parent or guardian at least 18 years of age. (both must complete volunteer application)

Ages 15 and up may volunteer by printing and completing the volunteer application.

Summer 2008 Volunteer Application

You will receive a confirmation letter confirming your participation after the application is received and accepted.
