Organizational Overview:​
Camp Summit is a one-of-a-kind camp for individuals with disabilities where the emphasis is on each campers' abilities rather than their disabilities. Traditional camp activities are adapted to each individual, provided in our barrier-free facilities, and implemented by trained, caring staff. Our campers are grouped by age, providing the opportunity to make friends within peer groups while having fun and experiencing new adventures.
Camp Summit’s administrative offices are in Richardson, Texas. Our camp is in Paradise, Texas, just north of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex on 460 acres of land. We are accredited by the American Camp Association and licensed as a Youth Camp in the State of Texas.
Position Summary:
The Grant Manager will play a crucial role in securing funding for Camp Summit through the development and submission of grant proposals. Working closely with program managers and executive leadership, the Grant Manager will identify funding opportunities, research potential donors, and craft compelling proposals that align with our organization's goals and objectives. The Grant Manager will also be responsible for tracking and managing the reporting process for grants that are received. The successful candidate will have a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities and a proven track record in securing support from diverse funding sources.
Responsibilities:

Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies that align with the organization’s mission and programs.

Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s programs, services, and financial needs to effectively communicate them in grant proposals.

Collaborate with program managers and finance staff to gather relevant information and data needed for grant proposals and reports.

Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, ensuring compliance with all application and reporting requirements and deadlines.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of grant submissions, responses, and reporting requirements.

Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with grant-making organizations, representing the organization in a professional manner.

Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and changes in the funding landscape related to disability services.

Participate in external and internal organizational events and activities, including fundraising and cultivation events and check presentations and community gatherings.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., English, Communications, Nonprofit Management).

Proven experience in grant writing and successful grant procurement, particularly in the nonprofit sector serving individuals with disabilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and compelling manner.

Strong research skills, with the ability to identify and pursue diverse funding opportunities.

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Proficiency in using grant databases, online resources, and other tools for prospect research.

Familiarity with budgeting and financial reporting related to grant applications.
