Thank you for ensuring Josh, and other campers with disabilities,
can make their dreams come true at Camp Summit
Imagine This: Josh is 15 years old. He has cerebral palsy, is in a wheelchair and needs help eating, dressing, bathing, etc. The virus has closed his school, upended his routines, and kept him from seeing friends. He is lonely, angry, and depressed. Josh’s mom, Carol, had to quit her job to stay home and care for him. Money worries keep her awake at night, and Josh’s 24/7 care is exhausting!
COVID-19 has introduced us all to social isolation, restrictions, and uncertainty, well-known experiences in the special needs community. Just as we dream of the day we can join friends for dinner, a concert or a ballgame, Josh and Carol dream of his return to Camp Summit, one of their favorite places on earth. Josh’s week at camp is one of the best weeks of the year…and it’s in jeopardy.
Your gift will provide urgent funding so a camper like Josh can return to the camp he knows and loves. Of course, Josh isn’t our only camper. Over 2,500 campers and their families count on Camp Summit each year to be a haven of acceptance, adventure, possibilities, and love.
