Carla R. Weiland
President and Chief Executive Officer
Carla joined Camp Summit in 2003. Carla comes to Camp Summit with a varied background in Non-Profit and Camp management. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation. She has worked with numerous camps throughout the country and serves as the Texoma Section Chair of the Local Council of Leaders for the American Camp Association (ACA). She is a 2001 graduate of the Leadership Richardson program and involved in many community organizations. Carla is inspired by our campers daily and continues to be an advocate for camping and providing services for individuals with disabilities.

Pam Young
Billing Specialist
Pam joined our team in April 2022. After moving to Texas in 2005, she started her massage therapy career in a chiropractic setting. Her medical billing education started soon after when she decided to do both specialties. After taking time away for the workforce raising her daughter, she received her medical billing certification in 2021. She loves spending time with her wonderful family, listening to audiobooks,
and watching documentaries. Helping people is always an amazing
experience and she is honored and humbled to join this amazing team
and be part of the Camp Summit mission.

Marissa Hoiles
Marketing & Public Relations Manager
Marissa Hoiles, Marketing and Public Relations Manager has recently joined the Camp Summit team in March 2022. She graduated from Texas Tech University in December 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations, minoring in Creative Media Industries. Marissa is incredibly grateful to be a part of such an amazing organization and is excited to work for Camp Summit to kick-start her career. In Marissa’s free time she likes to take her dog, Willow on adventure walks through the trails and bake for her
friends and family.

Grady Howell
Camp Director
Grady has recently joined the Camp Summit team in March 2023. He first came to Camp Summit in the summer of 2018 as he took a small group from My Possibilities, located in Plano, to Camp Summit for a weekend camp experience and has loved Camp Summit ever since! He graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with degree in Theology. He has a wife, Kelsey, and two kids, Henry and Kate who keep him on his toes. He loves watching movies, playing with his kids and is a self-proclaimed Lego Master. He can’t wait to see how he can provide a sense of belonging to each and every camper that comes to Camp Summit.

Mary Coll
Assistant Camp Director
Mary joined the Camp Summit team in May 2023. She graduated from Louisiana State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts, in mass communication with a concentration in public relations and a minor in business administration. She has spent her summers at Louisiana Lions Camp, an overnight camp for children with mental and physical disabilities and Type 1 diabetes, since she was 16 years old. She loves to travel, go to concerts and just hang out with friends. Mary is excited to be a part of such an incredible team and to serve the Camp Summit community.

Ray Jacobus
Food Service & Housekeeping Manager
Ray recently joined the Camp Summit Team in March 2023. He has a master’s in culinary arts from the Art Institute of Chicago. He has cooked for an admiral in the U.S. Navy, ran the mess hall for several man camps up in North Dakota. He has opened several restaurants for people in the DFW area and hopes to bring all his culinary knowledge with him to create a fun and creative menu for our campers. He loves spending time with his beautiful wife Sheri, and 8 kids KayLeigh, Zachary, Lilly, Jayce, Lonnie, Charlie, Alax, Viollett. Ray and his family love baseball, camping, and cooking meals together. He is also very involved in kids’ ministry at his church. He hopes to provide delicious food to campers for many years to come.

Keturah Gray
Development Associate
Keturah joined Camp Summit in 2021. She has a background in working with people with disabilities around the world and is passionate about making diverse individuals feel included, seen, and heard. Prior to Camp Summit, she worked in India for 7 years at proVISION ASIA and was focused on donor development and fundraising. Keturah graduated from Texas A&M University at Galveston. Besides serving at Camp Summit, she is a mom to identical twin girls, involved in her church and loves the beach and anything underwater!

December Williamson
Development Associate
December grew up in Austin, Tx and has loved the camp world ever since attending her first overnight camp in 2006. She has a variety of experience in residential camping, having previously worked at YMCA camps in the Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin area. She has a degree in Communications Studies from the University of North Texas, where she led outdoor adventure trips with the UNT Outdoor Pursuits Center. Outside of work she enjoys baking, watching silly reality shows, and being in the sun! December knows first-hand the positive impact camp can have and is thrilled to continue working in the spirit of camp with Camp Summit.

Carol Fletcher
New Initiatives
Carol has been in the nonprofit sector for over twenty years. She began her nonprofit career in development for a large national organization. She increased their annual giving revenue by over 200%. Carol has helped nonprofits gain nationwide attention through effective service delivery strategies. She’s raised millions of dollars for causes that assist individuals with disabilities. She received the largest program grant in a nonprofit’s history for an innovative cognitive program.
As the Executive Director of a disability nonprofit, she earned the Council on Quality & Leadership’s highest accreditation for person-centered service excellence.
Carol’s goal is to help good people do great things through philanthropy!

Fredy Valdez
Facility Crewmember
Fredy joined the Camp Summit team in 2014. He was previously on the Facility Team at Garrett Creek Ranch Conference Center in Paradise, Texas, which is now the location of Camp Summit's Forever Home. Fredy helps Camp Summit stay in tip top shape, taking care of the grounds, carpentry, plumbing, road maintenance, welding, and helping with all facility maintenance projects. He enjoys spending time with his family, his kittens, and raising chickens.
